Kalamaki town is 2minutes walk from the apartments. It is very lively with lots of different shops to look in and resturants to eat in. There are a couple of internet cafes along the road and there is also the Down Under night club (recommended).
There is also the Cave Bar which is a good bar to. You can see alot of the town from up in there bcoz it is based in a mountain.
There are alot of tour operaters if you wanted to go on trips around the island. And there are also some place where you can hire cars to explore the island yourself.
The beach is about 10mins walk from the apartments

Baby Caretta Caretta makin its way down to the sea!!
If you look carefully you can just see a different colour patch of water which is brown. That is a sea turtle that nest up on the beaches of Kalamaki
